What an interconnect drawing is
On a Collingwood custom home, an interconnect drawing is a schematic — not a floor plan, not a wiring diagram. It shows every piece of AV equipment as a labelled box and every cable between them as a labelled line. Each line tells the installer what cable type is required, where it runs from, where it runs to, and what signal it carries.
Done properly, an interconnect drawing lets a qualified installer wire an entire AV rack and the rooms it serves without asking a single question. It eliminates guesswork, miscommunication, and rework.
