Lutron Lighting & Shades
RA3 and HomeWorks systems with motorized shades for ski-in chalets and Georgian Bay lakefront homes. Programmed for arrival, away, and entertaining modes that work whether the home has 2 guests or 14.
The Blue Mountains is a different installation environment than anywhere else in our service area. Ski-in chalets at Craigleith and Alpine Ski Club, lakefront homes along Highway 26, and the dense rental inventory around Blue Mountain Village all demand systems that perform without an owner on-site. Summit Logic installs and services premium AV, lighting, and security across the entire Blue Mountains region — from Lora Bay to Camperdown. The Blue Mountains is built around the ski economy, from the resort village to the private clubs, and the chalets that come with it are precisely the properties we design for.
Six core systems we deploy across Blue Mountains chalets, lakefront homes, and rental-ready properties.
RA3 and HomeWorks systems with motorized shades for ski-in chalets and Georgian Bay lakefront homes. Programmed for arrival, away, and entertaining modes that work whether the home has 2 guests or 14.
Sonos Pro and Sonance outdoor systems built for hot tub decks, rooftop patios, and four-season pavilions. We use weatherized hardware throughout.
Theatres designed for the apres-ski crowd: easy single-button operation, Kaleidescape libraries, and acoustic treatment that survives drywall renos.
Multi-AP UniFi networks with Starlink failover. Designed for properties with detached coach houses, ski-tuning rooms, and bunkhouse cabins on the same lot.
Wireless Ajax systems with verified video for properties that sit empty between weekends. Owner-armed remotely from anywhere.
One-touch arrival scenes that warm the home, raise shades, and unlock the front door — coordinated with smart locks and HVAC. Critical for chalets used by owners and renters interchangeably.
Most Blue Mountains homes are second properties. They sit empty for weeks at a time, then host 12 people for a long weekend. That occupancy pattern breaks systems that weren't designed for it. WiFi routers freeze. Sonos drops zones. Lutron keypads stop responding.
The fix isn't bigger hardware — it's better design. We specify systems with remote diagnostics, automatic recovery, and owner-app control as core requirements, not afterthoughts. Short-term rental owners get the same systems with guest-restricted profiles, automated check-in scenes, and remote arming for the gap days.
On the lakefront and the high side of Highway 26, weather and elevation matter too. Outdoor speakers need to survive freeze-thaw cycles without seasonal teardown. Networks need to span detached coach houses and bunkhouse cabins on the same lot. Cameras need to push verified-video alerts when the property is empty for ten weeks at a stretch. Every Blue Mountains install we deliver is designed around how the home actually gets used — not how the brochure says it will.
