    What Makes Vantage Different

    Precision Lighting Control

Vantage delivers smooth, flicker-free dimming across LED, incandescent, fluorescent, and low-voltage loads. Multi-gang stations and custom keypads give you elegant wall control designed to complement high-end interiors.

    • ✓ Forward and reverse-phase dimming

    • ✓ Custom-engraved keypads and faceplates
    • ✓ Tunable white and colour LED control

    Open Architecture

    KEY DIFFERENTIATOR
Unlike closed ecosystems, Vantage integrates with virtually any third-party system — Crestron, Control4, Savant, KNX, BACnet, and more. This makes it ideal for complex projects requiring interoperability across multiple platforms.

    • ✓ Full API and driver support
    • ✓ RS-232, IP, and relay integration
    • ✓ Works with any automation platform
    • ✓ Future-proof and expandable

    Whole-Home Automation

Beyond lighting, Vantage's InFusion controller manages climate, motorized shading, audio, security, and more — all from a single platform with unified scene control and scheduling.

    • ✓ Climate and HVAC integration
    • ✓ Motorized shade and blind control
    • ✓ Scene-based whole-home automation
    • ✓ Astronomical clock scheduling

    When to Choose Vantage

Vantage is the right choice for projects that demand maximum flexibility, third-party integration, and architectural-grade hardware. Here's how it compares to other platforms we install:

    Large Custom Residences

Homes with 50+ lighting zones, complex scene requirements, and integration with multiple subsystems benefit from Vantage's scalable architecture.

    Multi-Platform Projects

When a project uses Crestron for AV and automation but needs a dedicated lighting platform, Vantage integrates seamlessly via drivers and API.

    Design-Forward Interiors

Equinox keypads and custom finishes give designers and architects control over every visible element — matching hardware to the interior palette.

    Commercial & Hospitality

Vantage's centralized architecture scales efficiently for hotels, restaurants, and commercial spaces requiring zone-based control across large floor areas.

Vantage vs. Lutron — Choosing the Right Platform

Both Vantage and Lutron are premium lighting control platforms, and we install both regularly. The right choice depends on the project:

    Choose Vantage When:

    • • You need open-architecture integration with third-party systems
    • • The project requires centralized, high-density dimming panels
    • • Custom keypad finishes and architectural hardware are priorities
    • • Complex automation logic beyond simple scenes is required

    Choose Lutron When:

    • • You want the broadest motorized shading product line
    • • The project is primarily lighting and shading without complex AV integration
    • • Wireless retrofit is preferred (RadioRA 3)
    • • Budget is a consideration — Lutron offers more entry-level tiers

In many high-end projects, we combine both platforms — using Lutron for motorized shading and Vantage for centralized lighting and automation control. Summit Logic helps you determine the right approach during our complimentary design consultation.

    How We Use Vantage

Vantage is our estate-class lighting platform, deployed where projects demand lighting beyond what Lutron RA3 covers — central to our work in lighting control, Lutron lighting comparisons, and HomeWorks-class systems.

    Vantage across Southern Georgian Bay

Vantage InFusion is the legacy estate-level lighting platform we still service on heritage homes across Collingwood, the Blue Mountains, and Thornbury. Many Pretty River Estates and Lighthouse Point homes built in the 2000s and early 2010s ship with Vantage installs — we keep these systems running and manage migrations to Lutron HomeWorks QSX or Crestron Horizon when the owner is ready.

We do not specify Vantage on new construction. Lutron HomeWorks QSX is the current top-tier wired residential lighting platform, and Crestron Horizon is our integrated alternative. Vantage support remains part of our service portfolio for Castle Glen and Mountain House at Windfall estate homes still on InFusion controllers.

    Vantage product lines we deploy

    • Vantage InFusion controllers — Legacy estate-level lighting processors
    • Vantage Equinox 41 / Equinox 73 keypads — In-wall touch interfaces
    • Vantage scene-station keypads — Engraved button keypads for entry and great rooms
    • Vantage Q-Link low-voltage dimmers — Centralised lighting load modules
    • Vantage relay panels — High-current load switching for outdoor and landscape lighting
    • Vantage InFusion Design Center — Programming environment for legacy installs
    • Vantage migration paths — Hardware swap to Lutron HomeWorks QSX or Crestron Horizon

    Where we use Vantage

Vantage shows up almost exclusively on service work for legacy estate homes across Pretty River Estates, Lighthouse Point, Castle Glen, and Mountain House at Windfall. Many of these homes were built with Vantage as the original lighting platform and still operate cleanly. We service the existing controllers, replace failing keypads, and re-program scenes as the home is renovated.

When an owner is ready to retire a Vantage system — typically driven by ageing dimmer modules, controller capacity limits, or a major renovation — we migrate to Lutron HomeWorks QSX or Crestron Horizon. Both are the modern equivalents of estate-level Vantage and are backwards-compatible with most existing low-voltage wiring runs.
