Smart Home Service & Maintenance in Collingwood & Georgian Bay

A smart home runs on software, and software needs care. Firmware updates, certificate renewals, network health checks, seasonal tuning, and fast response when something does not behave: this is the work that keeps a five-year-old system feeling like a new one. Summit Logic provides ongoing service and maintenance plans for smart homes across Collingwood, Thornbury, and the Blue Mountains, whether or not we did the original installation.

What is Included in a Service & Maintenance Plan

Remote system monitoring with alerts when a processor, switch, or camera goes offline

Automatic firmware updates across Crestron Home, Control4, Savant, Lutron, UniFi, and Ajax

Quarterly or semi-annual health reports summarizing uptime, incidents, and recommended changes

Seasonal check-ups for cottage properties before opening and closing weekends

Priority phone and email response with published response targets in your service plan

After-hours emergency response for clients on active plans

Annual on-site inspection of rack, network, cameras, and keypads

Scene, schedule, and vocabulary adjustments as your routines change

Our Approach: Design, Install, Commission, Support

    Design

We start with a site walk and a pre-construction meeting alongside your builder, architect, and designer. Every project gets an AV block diagram and rack elevation before any wire is pulled, so decisions are made at framing stage rather than after drywall.

    Install

Rough-in wiring is completed during framing. The equipment rack is assembled and bench-tested in our shop, not on-site, and every cable is labelled at both ends. We coordinate directly with the electrician and finish trades throughout the build.

    Commission

Programming happens in the home, not in simulation. Every scene is tested with the family present during handover, you receive written handoff documentation, and a 30-day tuning window is built in to refine routines once you are living with the system.

    Support

Remote system monitoring and automatic firmware updates keep the system current. Cottage properties get seasonal check-ups, response targets are published on your service plan, and the person who programmed the system answers the phone.

Why Summit Logic for Service & Maintenance

The person who programmed the system answers the phone, not a call centre

Published response targets in writing, not promises

Georgian Bay-specific service planning, including cottage seasonality and Starlink failover for Thunder Beach and Lora Bay

We support systems we did not install once they pass our takeover audit

    Engineered. Installed. Supported.
